About Us

Providing high-quality education and training for more than 60 years, BCA offers an inspiring location for students to live, learn and enjoy time with friends.

In recent years, BCA has undergone a huge transformation and is now arguably the most attractive place to study in all of London and the South East.

As Ofsted said in May:

Managers have improved the college estate imaginatively so that it supports teaching and learning very well. New buildings provide excellent classroom accommodation, well designed specialist facilities and a spacious and comfortable learning resources centre.

Our curriculum is continually changing and we offer a huge range of courses providing academic and vocational options for all.

BCA is an easy college to get to, and we do all we possibly can to ensure that anyone who wants to come to BCA is able to. That includes discussing individual travel arrangements and where possible providing help – including financial – so that everyone can benefit from a BCA education, wherever they live.

We already provide a fleet of buses from various locations and in 2012 we will be running shuttle buses from Maidenhead station throughout the day. So if you want to use the train to get to us you can.

We also have our own student accommodation, so if you’d like to live-in during the week, you can do that too. Do apply early though, as accommodation is limited.

BCA received a glowing report from Ofsted in May this year. This is what some of our students like about BCA:

  • The friendly and welcoming staff who treat them with respect.
  • The way they are helped to improve their social skills and confidence.
  • The personal and academic support they receive from learning support staff and teachers.
  • Taster days, which help them to choose their courses.
  • The opportunity to meet and socialise with new people.
  • The practical activities and the accommodation and resources that they can use.
  • The support they receive to help them decide on their next career move after they finish their studies at college.

As you can see from our students’ feedback, we are here to do so much more than simply teach you on a course. Our unique facilities and exceptional staff will support you to develop both educationally and socially. We also place a great deal of emphasis on ensuring that you leave BCA with a positive next step – be that into work or onto Higher Education.

The employers we work with value BCA because of:

  • The high quality and accessible accommodation and facilities.
  • The high quality provision that meets their needs.
  • The way we help students to learn and develop their skills by providing effective work experience.

With a deserved reputation for success and a beautiful campus packed with excellent resources, BCA is a great place to study. So why not pay us a visit and discover it for yourself?

We showcase the college at our formal Open days and Taster days, though you can also arrange a private visit by contacting Lisa Heath (Marketing Department) on 01628 827411 or email lkheath@bca.ac.uk
