First Steps to Garden Design
This is an introductory course aimed at keen amateur gardeners who wish to understand the processes involved in garden design and their application to their own garden setting.
The course will cover topics such as: site analysis, client requirements, drawing up a survey, types of plan drawings (master, concept, setting out, hard landscape and soft landscape) and completed drawings. It is not essential that you have any prior knowledge of the subject area.
You will however need to bring drawing pens, paper and a rough sketch of your plot/garden - advice will be given.

This Level 3 course develops an individual’s knowledge and understanding of the design process. The three modules studied in depth are principles and practices of garden design, preparation of landscape, design briefs and site surveying.
