Environmental Studies is the application of science to investigate our world. If you are interested in life, you are interested in environmental studies! After all, no one lives in isolation and we all exchange things with our environments. Everybody swaps food, air and water – and we all pass on our parasites!

Environmental Studies will complement any other A level or vocational course and will provide a good scientific training. It will go very well with the other science subjects and combines particularly well with geography. This course is also appropriate for those students who are interested in science but are not intending to take another science A level.

A level Environmental Studies will provide a very strong foundation for any environmentally related career – for example pollution control, agriculture, forestry, resource and waste management, conservation and town and country planning. Environmental awareness and understanding is increasingly important in business and industry as more and more environmental regulations are being introduced.

If you would like to add an A Level onto your Level 3 study programme, then please include this on your application form.
