Life at BCA

Ask any of our students what they like most about BCA and the answer will almost certainly be College life. We ask you to work hard; we also work to provide you with a busy programme of social and sporting activities.

During the day, students can be found in The Zone, a dedicated area ideal for relaxing away from academic life. It is here you can check your e-mails and surf the web, listen to music, watch a movie on the big screen, chat to the Student Executive and Student Support team, as well as catch up with your friends.

Start your day with a healthy breakfast in the Courtyard Cafeteria, which is open throughout the day offering main meals and quick dishes. B’s Café and the new North Café are convenient coffee shops located at opposite ends of campus, serving hot drinks, light meals and tasty cakes and cookies!

Every Wednesday afternoon, sports teams play fixtures against other Colleges as well as getting involved in a wide enrichment programme including the Duke of Edinburgh
Award Scheme, boxfit, film club and polo team.

Many students choose to live on campus, and the Vaughan Morgan Centre (VMC) is the centre of our residential life and the focal meeting point in the evening. The VMC contains a gym, weights room, sports hall, shop and bar. There are weekly evening events, such as discos, quiz nights and pool competitions and at the end of every term a Ball is held, with the Summer Ball finishing the year in style with a fun fair and dancing late into the night.
