Student Support

Whether you need support with your studies or a personal matter, BCA offers a wide range of services available to help you through.

Your Tutor

Each programme has a tutor who is responsible for the day to day co-ordination of your course. They will arrange for you to have individual one-to-one tutorial time on a regular basis, giving you the chance to discuss any matters that may be affecting your work, progress and well-being at college.

Your Tutor should be the first person that you go to if you are experiencing any problems with your programme.

Student Manager

The Student Manager has responsibility for your wellbeing while at BCA and oversees all social and fundraising activities. The Student Manager is also a designated Safeguarding Officer.

Student Development Officers

Student Development Officers are in charge of day-to-day matters and the social side of your BCA life. You will get used to seeing them all over campus as they encourage you to get involved in all the activities that we offer.

Warden Team

Our Wardens supervise the residential and social facilities and are here to help residential students with any issues they may experience.

Counselling

It can be good to talk, which is why the college employs a professional counsellor. They can help you explore any problems you might be having and support you to find your own solutions.

Careers and Life Guidance

The college offers advice on career related issues, job search and developing essential life skills including managing money. This is carried out through a variety of methods and channels available throughout your programme via our Student Support staff.

Student Executive

The Student Executive is an elected team of students that represent the needs and wishes of the BCA community. Everyone has the opportunity to take part in college activities; the Executive helps to organise the main social and sporting functions.

Student Ambassadors

Our team of Student Ambassadors are the best people around to promote our College! You will find them at all of our events including Open Days and Enrolment – and they can give you the best view of BCA and answer any questions you have. If you are interested in becoming a Student Ambassador, please speak to a member of Student Support.
