About The Course
An apprenticeship in horticulture could lead to a diverse and satisfying career. The horticultural industry offers a wide range of career opportunities suited to people who are keen to work outdoors, so whether you see yourself employed by a golf club, a private estate or in a plant nursery, there will be an apprenticeship pathway to suit you.
Entry Requirements
GSCE English, Maths or ICT grades A – C exempt from Functional Skills. Level 2 qualification in Horticulture.
All apprentices will be required to undertake initial and diagnostic assessments for English, Maths, and ICT even if the apprentice is exempt from having to take the qualification as part of the apprenticeship framework.

Apprentices also undertake learning in Functional Skills, Personal Learning and Thinking Skill and Employee Rights and Responsibilities. BCA offers a range of NPTC City and Guilds certificates of competence. Learners can take advantage of discounted rates for the NPTC courses whilst enrolled on a work based qualification.
