About The Course

This course is a basic introductory programme to the Sport and Uniformed Protective Services industries. It will involve a mixture of practical and theory modules and is assessed via a range of methods including projects, practical demonstrations, and assignments based on realistic workplace situations, activities, and demands. You will develop a broad foundation of practical skills, knowledge and interpersonal skills that will help you progress in either of these areas and which are required to pursue a career in this industry. You will be encouraged to gain an understanding of a range of different uniformed public services and develop key skills such as teamwork, leadership, and problem-solving skills.

Entry Requirements

Four GCSEs at grade 2 or above, including English at grade 3 or above. Learners must demonstrate enthusiasm and commitment for these areas and the development of their own leadership, teamwork, fitness levels and communication skills.

More information

Progression routes include our Level 2 Diploma in Sport or Protective Services, or our L2 NVQ in Activity Leadership and Coaching (dependent on successful completion of the course and completing GCSEs taken). You can also progress straight into the industry via employment or apprenticeship/traineeship.
