About The Course

This course is a basic introductory programme to the Sport and Uniformed Protective Services industries. It will involve a mixture of practical and theory modules and is assessed via a range of methods including projects, practical demonstrations, and assignments based on realistic workplace situations, activities, and demands.

You will develop a broad foundation of practical skills, knowledge and interpersonal skills that will help you progress in either of these areas and which are required to pursue a career in this industry. You will be encouraged to gain an understanding of a range of different uniformed public services and develop key skills such as teamwork, leadership, and problem-solving skills.

Entry Requirements

Four GCSEs at grade 2 or above, including English at grade 3 or above. Learners must demonstrate enthusiasm and commitment for these areas and the development of their own leadership, teamwork, fitness levels and communication skills.

More information

Progression routes include our Level 2 Diploma in Sport or Protective Services, or our Level 2 NVQ in Activity Leadership and Coaching (dependent on successful completion of the course and completing GCSEs taken). You can also progress straight into the industry via employment or an apprenticeship/traineeship.
