Level 3 Extended Diploma in Applied Science
About The Course
The Level 3 Extended Diploma in Applied Science is an excellent starting point for those wishing to pursue a career in a range of science-based subjects inclusive of veterinary nursing, forensic science and pharmaceuticals. The majority of our students take a two-year programme completing an Extended Diploma in Applied Science which is equivalent to three A-levels.
Students are able to develop practical laboratory skills in our well-equipped labs and gain underpinning knowledge of science-related topics. The courses also provide an opportunity for students to develop employability skills alongside gaining confidence in becoming independent learners.
This course is delivered predominantly through theory lessons, practical laboratory work, group seminars and external professional development (industry/work placement). You will also have individual tutorials with your Course Manager on a regular basis in order to monitor and track your progress.
Guest speakers, trips and visits are used to enhance the learning environment where possible.
