  • Level 2 Media Production

    About the course

    Our study programme reflects the diverse opportunities available within the media sector. It is an ideal foundation for students, providing them with an understanding of media through engagement with live projects, realistic production processes and up‑to‑date technologies.

    Progression

    Progress to the Level 3 suite of qualifications depending on grades achieved and English and maths results. You will also be well placed to find an apprenticeship in the industry which requires ‘hands-on’ practical skills.

    GCSE/Functional Skills

    All full-time students, aged between 16-18, will study GCSE or Functional Skills in Maths and English, if they don’t already hold an A*- C level GCSE in the subject. This is an integral part of their vocational study programme at BCA. Students over 19 are also encouraged to refresh and accredit their skills alongside vocational study.

    4 GCSEs or equivalent at grade 2 or above and a grade 3 or above in maths and English.

  • Level 3 Creative Media Production

    About the course

    The creative industries are worth an estimated £8million an hour to the UK economy. This study programme offers a range of specialist, work-related units providing industry-related knowledge, understanding and skills that students need to prepare for employment. On successful completion of the study programme, students can consider progressing to employment or Higher Education.

    Progress to employment, apprenticeship or Higher Education.

    *There are also options for learners to study a 1 year 60 credit subsidiary diploma or 90 credit diploma qualification.
