Maidenhead United Academy

The Maidenhead United football academy consists of the elite players here at BCA. These players receive a total of six hours of training sessions per week as well as Conference Youth Alliance league fixtures on Wednesday afternoons. These Maidenhead academy players receive benefits, privileges and rewards that separate them from the rest of the football academy.

These include:

  • At least 6 hours of football coaching every week
  • A dedicated full time UEFA Licenced coach who plans, delivers and evaluates all training sessions, games and recovery sessions
  • Individual kit package which includes a tracksuit and training kit
  • Matches in the prestigious Conference Youth Alliance League
  • The opportunity to train at Maidenhead United’s York Road Stadium
  • Support from sports scientists and performance analysts. This includes nutritional, lifestyle and psychological support
  • Physical performance preparation and rehabilitation
  • Specific goalkeeping coaching

With these extra privileges comes extra responsibility and any players not performing academically or conducting themselves in the right way with proper attitude and commitment will find themselves removed from the academy.

We have a direct pathway from our academy to the Maidenhead United first team who play in the National South League. Our job is to develop players so that they will be prepared to play at that level when they leave BCA.

How Much Does it Cost?

Being part of the Maidenhead United Academy is free. You will receive all the coaching and support you need without having to pay for it. The only things we ask you to pay for is your training kit which includes your tracksuit and allows you to stand out and be easily identified as a Maidenhead United Academy player.

How do I Get Selected?

We will be running a number of trials over the course of the year to assess players and determine who will be good enough to play in the Maidenhead United Academy. Do not be too disheartened though if you are not selected for the Maidenhead United Academy as you may still be placed in the BCA Football Academy which acts as a development squad for our Maidenhead United Squad.

How Do I Apply?

To be part of the academy you must be enrolled on a full time course here at BCA. Please see below for forthcoming trial dates:
