Course Overview

The course is working on our 400-acre estate. Learning how to maintain gardens, hedgerows, and footpaths. Carrying out estate and environmental projects. Creating wildlife habitats, growing vegetables from seeds and planting trees. Working with the seasons to do tasks such as mowing grass and building bird boxes. There is a mixture of classroom-based logbooks and outdoor, all year, all weather, practical work.

Course information

The course is delivered on Mondays and can be studied alongside an Academic Day if desired.

There is an annual charge of £40 on enrolment that goes towards trips/visits/extra materials/resources throughout the year.
Student require steel toe capped boots and should wear clothing appropriate to the work/weather.
