Employers within the agricultural sector require a high level of practical ability and sound theoretical knowledge, which we at BCA are able to equip learners with in order to achieve successful employment or to progress on to further study.

Why study an Agriculture course?

The aim of this course is to enable students to utilise the theoretical knowledge gained in a practical setting. Upon completion of the course you should be equipped to undertake the care and management of these species in a commercially viable environment.

Experienced Teachers

Work alongside our passionate and professional agricultural team who have vital industry experience.

Practical Experience

Our amazing facilities include our polytunnel, where we take part in a range of activities, including lambing season, growing turkeys for Christmas, and rearing our calves.

We have a fleet of tractors and implements that the students can drive, maintain and complete field work.

Some of our students go on to further education and university, or they go straight into industry employment, such as mixed farming, arable or science.

Success stories

“I enjoy the harmony between the students and the tutors, and the atmosphere here. No two days are the same at BCA, and I enjoy the variety that we have here, with a mixture of practical and theory lessons.”
