Frequently asked questions

For those students considering us as an alternative to studying within central London, Maidenhead Station is on the fast route from Paddington. Nearby High Wycombe is on the Marylebone line too, so getting here is a lot easier than you might think.

The college has a large fleet of coaches to transport students from a wide area surrounding Burchetts Green. Please see our transport leaflet to find a stop near you.

When travelling on BCA transport, students must adhere to the Transport Code of Conduct. To read the terms and conditions, please click here: Transport Code of Conduct

If you have any queries or questions, please contact the Transport Manager on transport_enquiries@bca.ac.uk | 01628 827521 or ask your bus driver.

Coach fees are non-refundable, so if you think you might not need one for the whole year, we would suggest that you just buy one Term at a time.

Yes, we offer a comprehensive Bursary support package to assist low-income families with transport costs. Please see our Bursary Section for more information.

Unfortunately we are not able to offer a reduction in pass fees. If you can estimate in advance how many days you will need to use the coach, you can decide whether it will be more cost-effective to simply buy single use tickets for those days. In many cases it will work out cheaper overall to have a pass if you are using the coach a few times a week.

We are not able to allocate seats on the coach, but there will be plenty of space for everyone to travel safely.

Please see transport leaflet for times. As many coaches travel on busy routes, it is not possible to stop for more than a couple of minutes. Please be at the stop 10 minutes before the departure time and clearly visible to the driver. If the coach is on time or after time he will not stop if there appears to be nobody waiting.

Coaches will not be able to wait for students who are late.

In the evening all coaches leave the coach park outside Reception at 4:30pm. The minibuses leave from the Transport Office. A member of the Senior Leadership Team who wears a blue tabard will be in assistance to help you find the correct coach.

The journey home is the reverse of the morning route and will take approximately the same length of time.

Yes the carer will need to pay, however it is worth speaking to your Local Authority for assistance with transport costs for assistants and carers.

We’d prefer that you didn’t, as our coaches and minibuses are allocated to routes to ensure they can carry the correct number of passengers. Your pass will indicate which route and stop you are allocated and your driver may refuse to let you board on a different route. Please speak to us at transport_enquiries@bca.ac.uk if you think this may be a problem for you.

Please let us know when you enrol if you have any additional physical needs. Each application to travel will be looked at on a case-by-case basis because we have a combination of coach sizes, styles or minibuses on our routes which may vary due to the numbers of students enrolling.

We will listen carefully to Government advice and if it is recommended that we close, then we would expect to be able to offer a partial refund. More information and guidance on how to apply for a refund will be placed on our website.

Please email transport_enquiries@bca.ac.uk (Transport) or enquiries@bca.ac.uk (Main Reception) with any other queries and we will do our best to help.

Please click through to our cashless shop to purchase your pass.
