BCA can provide schools with the opportunity to partner in specialist 14-16 programmes. We offer students in year 10 and 11 the opportunity to study a college course alongside their existing GCSE subjects at school. A 14-16 programme in partnership with you.
A partnership with BCA
A partnership with BCA will enhance your schools’ programme with the benefit of specialist knowledge, realistic working environments and excellent facilities including vast grounds, an animal centre, floristry workshop, sports facilities*, outdoor adventure centre and motor vehicle workshops. The 14-16 course programmes provide nationally-recognised qualifications which combine practical skills development and academic content, highly valued by employers and effective at fast-tracking students into work. Research also shows that exam success rates improve through vocational learning, as students are happier and more fulfilled when their learning is centred on practical work experience. Please contact us to discuss your requirements.
Schools Transition Programme
The Schools Transition Programme is specifically aimed at individual learners in school years 10 & 11 who are experiencing difficulties accessing mainstream education or are home educated.
The course provides opportunities to return to learning. The programme, where possible, is tailored to each learner, providing a flexible return to study e.g. a phased introduction to BCA. The programme will include a vocational area of choice with the opportunity to access English, Maths and Science.
If on school roll these can work in partnership with the students’ other studies at school for up to a maximum of 3 days a week. If home educated, the course can be funded to attend for a maximum of 2 days a week.
