Success stories

“I chose my course because coaching interests me and I’ve always wanted to develop my coaching skills. I decided to come to BCA because I can study whilst playing football as part of the Maidenhead United Academy.

The aspect I like most about my course is the practical coaching and being able to reflect on my sessions and develop my skills which I know will help me achieve my future aspirations of becoming a coach at the highest level.”

Henry
Level 3 Extended Diploma in Sports Coaching and Development

“My work placement at Fitness Space Ascot was very beneficial. I gained knowledge of a lot of training techniques that I was able to put into practice at the gym and at college.

I gained valuable experience of life as a Fitness Instructor and I made great relations with the owner, instructors and the clients.

I have carried on volunteering at the gym to keep up my skills and now that I am qualified I have been offered to gain employment at the gym.

I have now got the opportunity to work and study while at university from September.”

Owain
Level 3 Diploma in Personal Training, on their placement at Fitness Space

“My work placement has been very beneficial as it was a place where I could apply all of the skills and knowledge from college and also further develop my understanding of working in a gym.

I have ran small classes and have 4 clients who I train once a week.

Without work placement I would have not been in this position. I have been offered full time in the gym and am very fortunate for the opportunity.”
