Why study an Agriculture course?

What sets BCA apart is our unique blend of commercial reality and academic excellence.

While other colleges offer standard classroom learning, BCA embeds you directly into a thriving, multi-enterprise environment. BCA features an extensive, fully operational estate and working farm facilities that allow you to learn on the job.

You won’t just read about livestock management or crop cycles; you will manage them. Our lecturers bring decades of real-world farming and agribusiness experience, connecting you directly to local and national industry networks. Like all our land-based courses, our curriculum includes essential weekend duties. This hands-on responsibility ensures you develop the vital soft skills, teamwork, and strong work ethic required to lead and succeed in the agricultural sector.

Experienced Teachers

Work alongside our passionate and professional agricultural team who have vital industry experience.

Practical Argiculture Experience

Our amazing facilities include our polytunnel, where we take part in a range of activities, including lambing season, growing turkeys for Christmas, and rearing our calves.

Machinery

We have a fleet of tractors and implements that the students can drive, maintain, and complete field work.

Destinations

Some of our students go on to further education and university, or they go straight into industry employment, such as mixed farming, arable or science.
