BCA Zoo has been awarded Official BIAZA Accredited status, recognising it as one of the UK’s and Ireland’s leading zoos and aquariums for excellence in animal care, conservation and education.
Following a comprehensive assessment process, BCA Zoo successfully demonstrated that it meets the world-class standards set by the British and Irish Association of Zoos and Aquariums (BIAZA). The accreditation confirms that BCA Zoo ranks among the top zoos and aquariums in the UK and Ireland.
BCA Zoo is also among the first organisations to receive accreditation through BIAZA’s newly launched accreditation scheme.
The rigorous process goes beyond the standard zoo licensing inspections required in the UK and Ireland. It includes detailed questionnaires, extensive supporting evidence and assessments by industry experts to ensure accredited collections are delivering the highest standards across all aspects of their operation.
