Course Information

In accordance with government guidelines, we shall adhere to the current social distancing rules of maintaining 2m apart on all of our courses.

This course covers health & safety issues and legislation relating to using chainsaws in the work-place. It takes the operator through various maintenance activities and the underpinning knowledge surrounding those tasks, before looking at starting procedures. Crosscutting timber is covered as is assessing timber and selecting the appropriate cutting sequence to cope with tension and compression.

  • Please remember that an additional day will be needed for the assessment
  • You will need to bring your own chainsaw and appropriate PPE, although we do have equipment that can be hired for the duration of the course if needed.
