Course Overview

The PA6 qualification is designed specifically for those who wish to apply pesticides using various types of handheld applicators. We regularly offer application of pesticides on land (PA6A) and we can offer application of pesticides near water (PA6AW). We can also deal with requests for stem injection (PA6INJ) and pesticides plugs (PA6PP) – please speak to us if you require either of these.

The PA6A consists of one day training followed by assessment on one of the following two days at a cost of £350pp

The PA1 qualification is a prerequisite for this course

Course information

The course will cover the legislative and safety regulations relating to applicator use, the environmental factors relating to mixing and application, product information. You will learn how to prepare and calibrate a hand held pedestrian applicator and to operate the application equipment. You will carry out post-operational procedures.

3 Days

Practical and theory

Candidates will undertake an oral and practical assessment.

Level 2

You should bring suitable clothing for pesticide application. A full list of PPE requirements will be on the booking form.
You will need to carry out calculations and measurements to ensure the correct pesticide flow-rates and you might like to bring a calculator – although most mobile phones have decent calculators on them these days!
