What is an Apprenticeship?
- An apprenticeship is a job with training that allows individuals to gain a national qualification whilst they work and earn.
- As an apprentice you will earn the appropriate national minimum wage.
- You will attend college one day a week, where you will receive practical and theoretical training
- The rest of the training and assessment is undertaken in the workplace
How do apprenticeships work?
Apprenticeships are designed with the help of the employers so they offer a structured programme that takes you through the skills you need to do a job well. You will gain vital experience in your chosen career whilst earning money. You could earn £100,000 in your lifetime, more than if you choose to study a full-time course, not only giving you an advantage money-wise but with ‘on-the-job’ knowledge too.
