ALFIE STUDENTS VISIT HARE HATCH FARM SHOP

News overview

Our ALFIE Introduction to Cookery students recently enjoyed an educational visit to Hare Hatch Farm Shop, where they discovered the importance of buying seasonal, locally grown fruit and vegetables.

During the visit, students were given a guided tour and an informative talk by Jan Murray from the Newbury and District Agricultural Society, learning more about where food comes from and the benefits of supporting local producers.

The trip provided valuable real-world learning to complement their cookery studies, helping students develop a greater understanding of sustainable food choices.

A huge thank you to Hare Hatch Farm Shop and Jan Murray for such a welcoming and informative experience.
