Why study an Applied Science course?
The Level 3 Extended Diploma in Applied Science is an excellent starting point. This two-year course is the equivalent of three A-Levels and covers the fundamentals of working within the Science industry.
Covering a wide range of topics across biology, chemistry and physics you will acquire a high level of practical laboratory skills from which theory is then drawn.
Entry Requirements
The entry requirements for this course are 5 GCSEs at grade 4 or above including English, Maths and Science.
Learning
We have a 60/40 theory to practical split, which allows students to get really hands on with their course.
Trips and Visits
We take our students on trips and visits to places like The Natural History Museum and the Syngenta Research Centre.
Destinations
Previous students have gone on to study subjects such as paramedic science, veterinary medicine and radiography at university. Students have also gone into apprenticeships at Microsoft and the Atomic Research Centre.
